Shim Sung

Shim Sung is a really great workshop–this one is high energy.  Initial Awakening is more intellectual and about understanding, Shim Sung is about the heart and finding the purpose of your life.  When I took Shim Sung, I was so in my head, that I didn’t really know what was going on, but I had a lot of energy and felt my heart open.  Aftewards I did training at my center and I could feel so much energy, more than I ever had.  There was  definite shift.  If you are thinking about taking shim sung, I recommend it, it can change your life, it did for me.

Watching

Do you know what it means to watch yourself?  I wasn’t sure of it either, but it has become a very important tool in my life.  Watching means, nonjudgemental observation of oneself.  Once i realized that my true self was my soul, I was able to watch myself easier.  Before I would judge myself a lot about what I saw in me.  But through watching, and realizing that all of those “things”: habits, personality, even the good things, are not necessarily me.  My soul is my essence, all those other things are me are things to be used by my soul.  So, through watching, instead of beating myself up, I am way more loving and kind and generous to myself, and in turn, I am more loving and kind to other people.  Finding and following my soul has so many good things…it helps me and it helps others.

Initial Awakening

is a really great workshop.  I have taken most of the workshops at the center and through this one I learned how to awaken, feel and watch my body.  Before I couldn’t focus well on my inside, there was too much emotional pain that I couldn’t deal with.  Through initial Awakening I was able to go deep inside, and form a strong inner world.  I am so grateful that Ilchi Lee created these system of workshops, they focus on making, not only a better body, but a better life.

teaching class

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to teach class at the center.  After I taught class I could feel my brain waves connect to the bigger energy, and I became more calm than I have in a while.  I realized that what I was doing right now, in teach class, was taking action…and I was so grateful for the members for giving me the opportunity to teach class for them.  It allowed me to connect to the cosmic energy in a bigger way.   Teaching is really learning for me.  I can see how when Ilchi Lee says to just take action–and all of the learning will come with it.

Ilchi Lee’s teachings

have many similar themes, they are simple and straightforward–it is true wisdom.  I like that I am receiving the same message over and over–sometimes it takes a little while for my brain to really accept them.  Usually when I really understand something, it is something that has been said to me many times.

suppressed emotions

According to Ilchi Lee, when we have suppressed emotions and memories it can decrease the function of your brain.  Sometimes I thought holding things in was not a big deal, but now I realize that we cannot be controlled by these emotions, it eventually weakens our body and our spirit.  Emotions are beautiful but we cannot be a slave to them.
