I was eager to buy a Korean SUV, as they keep getting better and are cheaper. I visited a local dealer, explained what I wanted, and waited for them to get back to me with the availability and price details. By the fifth week of not getting adequate information, I was wondering what is happening, as car dealers usually go out of their way to make the sale. I sensed that maybe the universe does not want me to get that car. Then someone told me about the hybrid SUVs. Suddenly it made sense: I was being guided to get one of them, for the good of the Earth. My connection to the living Earth is heart felt. All I read in Ilchi Lee’s book Mago’s Dream came to me.

From Ilchi Lee’s book Peaceology, below is the poem Earth Whispers. The great metaphor here is that the Earth is every bit as alive as our self. The Earth has a body, heart and brain. If we try, we can feel it and be inspired by it.

Earth whispers with a voice, gentle and soft:
Land is my bosom
Sea is my soul
Wind is my breath
Sky is my heart
And you are all my children
Earth whispers in a voice filled with longing
Feel the sun tingling on your skin
Hear the whispers of the moon and stars
Hear the radiant symphony of nature
Speaking with one voice
Let Earth’s dream come true

Our understanding of the Earth and our relation to it and responsibility for it is changing rapidly these days. The perspective floating blue, green and white in dark space and we living on it is compelling when we focus on ecology and humanity. As Ilchi Lee in Mago’s Dream puts it, “Earth is not a private club; it is a universal club. Being born allows you to receive a membership card; you don’t have to do anything else for it.  And it is the most beautiful club that you will ever find. Once you have realized that you are a member, don’t you want to keep it clean and comfortable for fellow members to use?” I know I do.
