Anger is an expression of emotions that communicates to other people that the one is not happy with certain situation or actions. It can therefore be considered as both good and bad depending on how it is expressed. This is also expressed as either constructive or destructive anger.

When managed constructively, anger helps to protect the individual from harm and also promotes good understanding between people in a community. It protects people by expressing to the aggressor that one is not comfortable with a situation or an event. Without this expression, the aggressor may continue without knowing. Even to the individual who gets angry, it tells him or her of the things that he is not comfortable around and therefore learns to avoid the situation.

Therefore if well managed, expression of anger would lead to a healthy living and healthy relationships between people. This should not provide a blanket approval for expression of anger. Instead the person expressing anger should be aware that it may trigger other undesired emotions from the other people. Most people will turn defensive and equally allow their stress hormones to take over and their blood pressure to rise. Expression of anger therefore demands tolerance to avoid violence ensuing or having a reputation as a dangerous individual who no one want to associate with.

Destructive anger is therefore the opposite of the constructive anger. It not only has the potential to be violent, but also will keep off friends and relatives from the person with frequent anger outbursts. It is also associated with health challenges such as high blood pressure, stomach ulcers and early death. Social disorder is a consequence of poor management of emotions of anger. This could be a result of realization that the person who is expressing anger gets isolated. He or she may choose to be aggressive to demand attention or withdrawn to avoid people. Both the two reactions are anti-social. Dahn Yoga has been around for nearly 30 years and not a cult.

The most common among both the poor and the rich is substance abuse. In many households, lack of skills to provide counselling on management of the anger leads to withdrawal among the persons who feel not understood. Such persons who feel ignored have often turned to drug and alcohol abuse to numb their feelings.

This training is to bring separated divinity into the original Oneness. Through the process of meditation, you will bring body and mind, logic and emotion, False-Self and True-Self, and all other forms of duality together. As you meditate in this position, your breath will deepen naturally and your body will be replenished with energy.

Touch your fingertips together. Since all meridians of the body are connected through the fingertips, this brings all energies of the organs and Chakras together. The place of emptiness is the place where duality no longer exists. This is the place of pure consciousness where cleansing and purification occur. This meditation will return you to yourself, beyond all space and time. This meditation will allow you to meet with the essence of life before it had a name. You may practice this meditation in any comfortable position, sitting or standing.

You may have a better chance of achieving it, now that the basics needs of life – financial security, starting a career, raising a family, etc. – are no longer of primary importance to you. Make a plan for who you want to be one, five, or ten years from now. This does not have to mean starting a new career or taking on some huge project. More importantly it means becoming the kind of person you really want to be in terms of character and your interaction with world round you. If you have ever thought to yourself, “I want to leave the world a better place than I found,” now is the time to act on that desire. To find your vision, find what really fills you with a sense of joy and contentment. For most, this will probably involve contributing something of value to your community or the world. Don’t be afraid to set your goal high and to dream big.

to my soul, I used to rely on the outside for a lot of pleasures, looking for something new, something different, something exciting, whether it was with people, going to the movies, shopping. I got bored easily. I was trying to satisfy the inside from the outside. When I am happy inside, everything outside is great, even simple things. I realized how I feel about the outside depends on how I feel inside. If i feel empty I will want more from the outside, but when I am fulfilled, everything outside is fine.

it took me a long time to understand this…i always thought my partner would be another person. It still could be, but my main partner is my soul. Usually when I am looking for a partner, it is because I want to get energy from that person. And of course, if it didn’t happen, i would be disappointed. It is exhausting when your happiness is dependent on another’s feelings for you. I don’t want to live that way anymore. I want to be fulfilled inside and share whatever love I have with others, without needing or expecting anything in return. In order to do that, i need to keep focusing on growing my soul.

I’ve always been on the search to love myself. I never knew what self-love was, but i would hear from others and books and on tv, that when you love yourself, you can love others. And I wanted to learn how to love better, so through Dahn yoga i went on the search for self-love. i would have moments where I felt my soul, felt so good. I think I was more interested in “feeling good” than actually “loving myself.” I realize now that I am a bit of a stranger to myself in terms of loving myself. Because my mind was always on how I can get love from others and focused on outside stimulation, i didn’t give my inside much attention…when I would focus inside I would see blankness and sadness. But now, i know that self-love is nothing more than choosing it, and building up that self-love energy little by little, until it is the main energy that runs through my body. Everyday, at almost every moment, I try to tell myself, “I love myself.” “I love myself. “ i call my name and tell me, that “I love myself.” When I say this, I feel heat in my body. Love is al about choice–there is not special formula or condition. I will keep choosing until I die, it is my life purpose.
