Love and compassion

Love which springs from filled up physical energy is compassion.  But those with low physical energy only seek jealousy.  The loftiest love is compassion.  This is what Ilche Lee says about love in the book “The way to light up yur divinity”.

Enlightenment Quote

I came across this quote on enlightenment — I like the description — it resonates with my Dahn Yoga training — uncovering my shadows to find the truth.

Enlightenment is a sublime word, if one goes back to its meaning; it means illumination of the spirit through truth, liberation from the shadows of error, or uncertainty, of doubt. Enlightenment is, in its deepest meaning, the transfiguration (Verkl?ung) of reason.

Wintry Mountain …dahn yoga

What makes vibration from the inner world

becomes legend by itself.

And,

those who can listen to the silent legend

will know

the true value of life

is in awakening not in knowledge.

Translation of the Chun Bu Kyung

One Begins unmoved moving, that has No Beginning

One Parts to Three Crowns, while staying a Limit-less Mover

Heaven is the One that comes First

Earth is the One that comes Second

Human is the One that comes Third

One Gathers to Build Ten, and Infinite Forms Become Triads

Heaven gains Two to make Three

Earth gains Two to make Three

Human gains Two to make Three

Three Triads Make Six, and they Create Seven, and Eight

Nine comes there, and there comes a Turning

Three and Four Making a Circle

Five and Seven make One whole

Way-less is the way All Comes and All Goes

Features are Changing,  and Change-less is the Maker

Divine Mind is the Eternal Light, Looking toward celestial Light

Human Bears Heaven and Earth, and the three make One

One is the End of all, and No Ending has the One

From Heaven Within by Tammy and George Klembith.

Moulting Errors from the Mind

This quote reminds me of the Power Brain Method training:

The birds are moulting. If only man could moult also — his mind once a year its errors, his heart once a year its useless passions.

It is our light, not our darkness that is most frightening.

I used to have this quote on my refrigerator:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?‘ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

-Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love (from chapter ‘Personal Power’)

The Distance to the Eye of a Needle

We all have a dream to let the flower in our hearts blossom
Once in our lives, we must let that flower blossom
For that is the reason we have come to this world

I hope that each of you will bloom that flower in your heart
For the moment the scent of that flower imbues your surroundings
That very scent will be your love for the world

For all those who wish to find their dream and realize it
I give you a flower blossom this morning

Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn’t anyone who doesn’t appreciate kindness and compassion.

Being a Warrior and Lasting Forever

“That which last forever is a part of the Tao, and since the deeds of the sages support the way of the Tao, they are constant and indesructible.  The virtue of compassion forms the foundation of the Tao; the virtues of softness and yielding are the functions of the Tao; the virtue of saving the world forms the structure of the Tao; and the method of self-cultivation is the Tao applied to everyday life.{PDCA}…In speaking and writing about the Tao, the sage is fearless as a warrior, and being fearless, his legacy lasts forever…The warrior last forever because she does not fight with anyone and yet fights with all adversaries.  In not fighting, she softens motivation and tames hardness, and puts herself last in order to return to the beginning…Embodying the steadfastness of the hero and the power of the conqueror, he is not invlolved in the petty battle of the common person but fights the battles for countless generations to come.”

From Holding Yin, Embarcing Yang translated by Eva Wong.
