If you're trying to figure out how to find your life purpose, you may have to ask yourself a variety of questions first. While a number of individuals may believe their calling is in a certain focus of expertise, they may have a hard time trying to figure out how to achieve it. A way to meet this purpose is by going back to school in order to boost one's credentials. Those with an extensive knowledge of a certain subject may find as though they're able to excel to levels they did not think possible.

Still, higher education can be expensive, which is why it is important that a student ensures that their investments are protected. Salle Mae Insurance Services announced that it would be offering tuition insurance to 19 million college students across America. Through a partnership with Next Generation Insurance Group, LLC, this will be the first insurance product that is geared toward college students who are looking to make sure that their investments are in order.

Sallie Mae will offer insurance services through specific universities in order to reach students who are interested in such products as tuition insurance and ID theft protection.

This is just another way that the financial services company is helping people reach their goals of earning a higher education, despite the fact that tuition prices continue to climb.

"Since its founding nearly 40 years ago, Sallie Mae has helped more than 31 million people pursue their education dreams," said Jack Remondi, president and chief operating officer at Sallie Mae. "These new insurance products will help students and families protect their investment in higher education."

Many people who dream about doing something to assist in the safety of others wish to work for the Department of Homeland Security. Now, a new degree program offered by Capella University will help potential students reach their life dream of working in the organization.

The online institution announced that it will offer a master's of science (MS) in homeland security that was created for students who are already in a full-time job and are looking to advance their education through virtual means.

Some of the courses will be taught by experts who have worked in organizations such as the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Federal Emergency Management Agency, among others.

"We're delighted to have assembled such a strong team to teach in our new MS in homeland security program," said Micheal Kemp, faculty chair for the program and internationally recognized expert in the field of emergency management.

All over America, people are learning about the mental and physical health benefits of meditation and taking on practices of their own in order to strengthen their mind-body-spirit bond.

According to a 2007 U.S. Census Bureau Survey, about 10 percent of adults in the U.S. practice some form of meditation, an increase from eight percent in 2002.

Several clinical trials and personal testimonials support theories that meditation – the art of focusing on one's inner being at the present time – has the ability to help individuals focus, heal, strengthen, gain empathy and improve their brain potential. It is believed that by helping people hone in on the present and stop worrying about future negativity, meditation can help relieve stress and anxiety, thereby eliminating a host of stress-related conditions.

Author and philosopher Ilchi Lee has developed a meditation technique known as Brain Education. With this method, individuals sensitize their awareness, versatilize and become more flexible, refresh their senses, integrate positivity and finally, master their brains. By gaining control over their minds, people are better able to live a fulfilled life and eliminate negativity and hate from their brains.

Students who have a passion for their surroundings sometimes try to bring about world change in whatever way possible. While some may choose to follow the teachings of Ilchi Lee on peace, others are choosing to help the environment be better for those around them.

More schools are beginning to offer master's of business administration (MBA) degrees that have a focus on being environmentally friendly, according to U.S. News & World Report. The growth comes from a demand from students who are looking to do more with their degree than just find a job.

These programs not only include typical business classes, but also lessons on how people can make social, environmental and financial choices with every move they make in the corporate world.

Students who care about the environment and wish to change the world for the better may find that these kinds of programs are geared toward them.

Additionally, the Green Economy Post reports that more companies are looking at adding green jobs to their staff in an effort to become more sustainable.

Standardized exams time can be stressful for the minds of students, which could cause them to perform worse than they would if they did not have anxiety.

However, a recent study demonstrates the power of transcendental meditation and how it can bring about enlightenment. The research, which is published in the journal Education, studied 189 students in a California middle school who were taking the California Standards Test (CST).

The researchers found that students who meditated beforehand did better on the math and English portions of the exams over the course of a year in comparison to children who had not meditated.

Students who are looking to meditate in an effort to improve their standardized test scores may want to follow Ilchi Lee's teachings on meditation.

Additionally, children who are still suffering from performance anxiety may also want to take Lee's words to heart, as he says "Don't be afraid of obstacles. This means you have many chances for happiness, because when you resolve obstacles they will turn into joy."
