Does the world need to be saved?

Does the world need to be saved?  If the world needs to be saved, it implies that there is something wrong with the world, wrong with us…but if we connect to CJKW, we can see that everything is perfect, we are all perfect as we are….it’s a bit of a paradox, that maybe eludes reason.

Coincidences

I have always felt there are no coincidences — and I feel it more and more through my Dahn training — as my brain and body keeps waking up and illuminating. It is fascinating to go through the day knowing that even the most simple things exist to help me become a more loving and peaceful person — to help me actualize my soul purpose.

love and dating

How can we date and have relationships in a healthy way that is good for our souls?  I think that a lot of us date to receive energy from others–and play a lot of games, etc.  Sometimes it seems like there aren’t a lot of people interested in growing, and it limits the #.  But that seems kind of separatist to me.  How does one find a balance?

i know many people who are interested in opening dahn yoga centers in other parts of the US and the world….how does one do that?  I would love to see more in europe, in mexico.  I think many other countries would embrace it well.

Teamwork

I grew up pretty independent.  Because i didn’t like interacting with others and my dislike of conflict, I would want to do everything by myself and had the attitude, “Oh I’ll do it all.” because I thought I could do it better and I didn’t want to spend time teaching someone how to do it.  I know why I avoided all this, cause teamwork is hard.  You have to deal with all sorts of personalities and people.  Has Ilchi Lee ever said anything about teamwork?  Is there any advice that anyone has on how to be a better team player?  To contribute, but also let your individual self shine?

The Brave One

I saw an interesting movie called “The Brave One” starring Jodie Foster.  She is a New York City radio journalist who, with her fiancee, are beaten by a gang in Central Park while walking their dog.  She survives but her fiancee does not.  After she recovers, she is covered in fear and rage and buys a gun as a form of protection.  After her purchase she begins witnessing criminal acts and uses the gun as a form of self-defense and after several incidents she begins to use it in an offensive way, to combat the criminals in the town.   She becomes a vigilante and her target is to find the ones who committed the crime on her and her fiancee.

The film is well acted and directed…I had some issues with the storyline, especially whether it is right to take the life of someone because they have done something to you, and what is the meaning of revenge.  Revenge seems to be based in emotions, not your true self.   And when you take revenge on someone, would it really help you?  Or would it just temporarily quell the rage and despair?  The main character said that after her beating, she changed, she was never someone who lived in fear, but after this incident, someone different emerged and she couldn’t go back to her old self.

Deep down, there is a lot of fear in us.  It is difficult to feel but it is something to be faced and dealt with.  I guess it is important to realize that fear, in itself, is an emotion, but not who you really are.

If anyone else has seen this movie, what is your opinion?

peanut butter?

I wonder if Ilchi Lee likes peanut butter? I realize this is a pretty minor question, but still — he’s human. Does he like peanut butter?

What comes first inhaling or exhaling?

It’s an interesting question.  I was reading about it in Human Technology by Ilchi Lee.   He says inhaling takes energy, while exhaling does not require much energy at all.  And life begins by emptying oneself and letting that empty place to be filled.  When I let go of something small (the small breath I hold on to), I gain something great (the atmosphere of nature).  This kind practice can lead to enlightenment.

Ilchi Lee says that if life ends with an inhalation then the people cannot let go when they die.  But if they are dying with an exhalation they have released their physical body and their soul can move freely.
